dot ZX-Spectrum FTW!!


I grew up with the Speccy and stumbled across a website related to the most popular Spectrum magazine at the time which i used to buy every week - mainly due to the free game cassette on the front....The guy on there have been making a few videos summarizing each year of the speccy starting with 1982 when it came out and he is up to 1989.... I have linked a few episodes on youtube below .....

Makes me feel all warm inside watching these remembering how many hours i used to spend gaming on this machine....lol...

Just to put things in perspective the cost of a brand new Spectrum (with all of its whopping 48k of memory) in its day (1982) was around the £125.....imagine what that would be in today's money...lol..I personally think all that we have in gaming today is down to this little machine.

dot GodDamnSexy Gamers go through changes..
Many of you may have noticed that the G$G guys have been quiet since their strong finish at i37. With Cow moving on to pastures new, JKR quitting gaming competitively & Graphix being removed for offences against toilets it left Rain and Marcybear looking for 3 more players.

Firstly the return of f00b from his working lan dodging trips to Turkey gave the G$G boys a solid three players to start fresh.

menengroth the Irish legend came crawling... "please G$G how do i become DamnSexy?!" As the nice lads we are, we were happy to take him under our wing and show him the ways of the GodamnSexyGamers.

Then one night, four of us on vent thinking we need a 5th, along came a guy called Mercy a dedicated #Rasta-Gaming player showed up, but the lure of TwistedPlay persuaded him to jump aboard the Damnsexy Ship.

This gives us a Core 5 Line up of:

After mixing with a few of the zboard crew last night I realised how easy they can destroy teams with not calling anything, running around like loons and still managing to kill a high skilled team taking it as serious as ever! Well this was Mezzy's chance to shine as a top player and show them what the Tplay people can do and what happened?!?! The dam batteries on my wireless keyboard went I was trying to strafe and instead of popping out abit and then back behind cover, my keyboard decided i wanted to keep walking out right into the open and get boned everytime!

Well that was it Mezzy had to come back from this embarrasing hash and buy himself a new keyboard to redeem himself of this humiliation and along my shopping trip i discovered a few new fancy keyboards that some of you may be interested in having a look......
